On our most recent visit to the Disneyland Resort, we stopped by the Jolly Holiday Bakery located at the end of Main Street USA. It is the location of the old Plaza Pavilion. The work that was done turns the location into a great new dinning area, with reasonable prices, and a wonderful assortment of fresh pastries, sandwiches, salads, and soups, coffees and more. When I ate there I had the Hot Angus Roast Beef on a toasted onion roll.

The sandwich was great  and came with home style chips. This picture was provided to me by my friend @ParkHopper55. I got so busy eating my sandwich I forgot to take a photo so I could share. Now her is a little tip that I want to share with you. If you are planning on watching the parade that makes its way down Main Street, plan your meal break to take place at the same time as the Parade. That way you can get a front row seat in comfort to dine and watch the Parade as it winds its way right past your table.

For  a great selection of photos showing the restaurant, visit my friend MouseSlap, he was able to catch some great photos inside and out.

So be sure you check it out and remember to catch that Parade while you dine.

See Ya In The Parks!

One of the most important parts of planning a trip to Disneyland, is trying to find those fun and fabulous places to eat. I tried many of the counter service restaurants, as well as  many of the sit down restaurants. It can be difficult to try to select one that will satisfy your taste without emptying wallet. Well here’s one that will fill the bill, it’s called Mimi’s Cafe.

We tried it for breakfast, on our way into the Parks. We found it to be pleasant comfortable and definitely filling. So this recommendation is for breakfast, and I will be trying sometime in the future for lunch and dinner, and of course I will share my thoughts then. The interior was cute, with lots of decorations to take in.

I had the two eggs with red skin potatoes, and bacon. The breakfast included juice and a muffin. I chose the Blueberry Muffin it was massive and filling. I couldn’t eat all of it.

All in all it was a great sit down breakfast, something that you could begin a long day with, something that will keep you going most of the day. It is conveniently located across the street from the Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel in Anaheim, and just about a 5 minute walk to the Disneyland Resort. So even if you were staying at one of the other Good Neighbor Hotels, Mimi’s Cafe is right there, offering just one more choice of restaurants to enjoy, check out their menu.
