Here’s one of those stories that are hard to believe, until you hear that this guy has a Disneyland Obsession. his name is George Reiger, and as you can guess from the page title, he’s the”Disney Tattoo Guy”. His love of Disney led him to begin collecting Disney art, but this art is the kind that you wear in the form of body art. He claims to be covered with about 2000 Disney Tattoos, yep that’s right, all your favorite Disney characters, and his body is the canvas. All the while he collected a huge amount of Disney Memorabilia. I first read about him on the Orlando Sentinel Blog site, and became intrigued to find out more. I will say that many of the comments at this website, paint a very confusing picture, but you decide for yourself.
Now here’s where it get even crazier. After spending all those years gathering his Tattoo art, and spending what has to be a small fortune to do accomplish this notoriety, he’s decided to have all of them removed.
It seems that he has fallen in love, or so the story goes, and his new love doesn’t like the tattoos, so they have to go. Now I for one don’t have any tattoos, and can’t imagine that I will ever get one. I have had a tattoo artist at my home from time to time, and many of my family friends and acquaintances have had him work his magic with the ink and needles, and it looks brutal to me,and I just don’t see the pleasure in it. I will add that my wife has a tattoo on her ankle, and is very fond of it, plus it looks pretty good.
But back to George, the reports are that along with getting rid of all of his years of tattoos, he’s getting rid of all of his Disney memorabilia, I suppose he’ll need the money to pay for the tattoo removal, and it has been said that this sale will resulted in $50,000 to $100.000— WOW! Just take a look.
