I was strolling along the water in front of The Little Mermaid Ariel’s Undersea Adventure. When I thought that someone called my name. I didn’t really pay attention, after all there are thousands of people walking and talking, everywhere you go around the Parks. But as it was starting to sink in, my wife said he just called you. “Ya right” I said, “who would know me here”? I turned to see who it might be, and there he was Ryan. How he saw me in all the people I never know, but he did.
You see Ryan use to work at the same facility that I do. He told me that his wife had gotten an offer to work at the Orange County Register, which she just couldn’t pass up, he turned in his notice at work and headed to Orange County. Folks in the area told him to try applying at Disneyland, they are always looking for cast members that have great customer service. He applied, and was hired quickly, the rest is history.
He told me that working at Disneyland and for Disney is the best job he ever had. He stressed that his new employers were very helpful and quick to respond to any issue that comes along. He says everyone there is great.
So when your wandering along the water front look for Ryan, say hi and make a new Disneyland friend.
Meet Virginia a cast member at the Disneyland Haunted Mansion. I first learned of Virginia while talking to a friend of mine at work here in Northern California. When I was telling my friend Barbara about our upcoming trip to our favorite place Disneyland she began to tell me that when she goes to Disneyland, she gets great discounts and perks because her niece works there, and if I get there be sure to say hi.
Needless to say I was jealous, and wished that my Rachel was older so she could get a job at Disneyland. We almost missed the chance to meet her. As we walked up to the Mansion she was out front moving those evil strollers around, making more room for people to walk.
She was on the level above us, and I just jumped right in and said ” is your name Virginia” she replied “Yes”. So I said “do you have and aunt named Barbara” “Yes” she said. Then the chatting began, i explained who I was, that her aunt had kind of put me up to finding her to say hi. We chatted for a few minutes, and we let her return to her chores, with a promise that we will always look for her to say hi on future visits.
Let me say that Virginia is a very pleasant young lady, with a great personality and smile. And if your in the Mansion and see her say hi, you’ll make a new Disneyland friend, like we did.
