Cars LandAs you know from earlier posts, Disney is in the process of modify Disney’s California Adventure Park. One of the most antisapated construction projects for this writer is Cars Land. Cars Land will include a brand new road race style coaster ride that I can’t wait to ride. But the project is not expected to be complete until 2012. That seems like a long time to have to do the Disney dance, waiting…. waiting…. WAITING. But with all of the new project  that are being constructed in the  California Adventure Park, the wait will be well worth it. I was able to snag a picture showing the model of the Cars Land being worked on. To see all that is being done go to Blue Sky Cellars

I just saw a tentative opening date of May 31, 2012.

Thanks for the update Tara. Care to share where your info comes from? I’ve said for a while that I believe there will be soft opening in late April, to early May. You know those times when cast members and VIPs get to take a look and put the new rides and cast members to the test. I’m hoping to be able to get that early look. Maybe my cast member friends can get me in as their guest. Or maybe the folks at Disney will send me an invite so I can report on it right here at Disneyland Obsession

The new cars land sounds just perfect I am planning a trip to Disneyland and California Adventure in June of 2012 with my grandson who loves the cars movies. Does it look like the land will be open by June of 2012.

Rich it has been said from the beginning, Cars Land will open 2012. There does not seem to be anyone that is willing to name the date just yet, but I believe we will see it all start around April 2012. This will give the Imagineers at Disney time to run the new attractions through their paces, and give a thorough test before the long summer season of 2012 begins. Plus that way they can provide a perk to all of the Annual Pass holders and provide an early introduction to the new land just for them. This is something that is done with many of the attractions as they come on line, ie: Star Tours, Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, etc.
      Hope that helps a little.
      See Ya In The Parks.
